Beyond Now

What is in the beyond now?

Depends. Is the glass half-full or half-empty? If it's the former, it would be nothing but bliss. If it's the latter, it's the diabolic end of mankind.

(BOOM)

Most people choose to fantasize or dread about the future because they do not like the state of now. Here's a cheesy thought bubble from a certain someone:

When all insecurities fade
When all comparison fail to matter anymore
When all that ever matters is how she looks at you
And how much you love her

Clearly, he's pertaining to a state in the context of human relationships that is impossible to achieve.

^And that, my friends, is the second thought bubble.

(BOOM)

Why am I writing this?

Because I am in a state where I look for better days ahead of me.

While the future is important, what matters more really is the present. If you want to truly be happy, focus on the present. The state of now is truly yours unlike the future. And it is the state where you are most powerful unlike the past. You control your present - at the minimum, through your perspective.

While the present may not all be that pleasurable, attractive, or good, it is life as we know it.

What is there to "life"?

Honestly, I don't know the objective value of life. The value is dependent on the meaning we ascribe to it. For life may or may not have meaning, but we, as humans, have the power to create meaning.

So, if you set life to mean something valuable and worth living, live in the now.
